GREETING & ANNOUNCEMENTS

PASSING THE PEACE OF CHRIST  [Congregational Responses are in BOLD]

The Peace of Christ be with you.

And also with you.

Let us extend the right hand of Christian fellowship to our neighbors.

*HYMN #113

"Christ The Lord Is Risen Today!"

*CALL TO WORSHIP  [Psalm 118]

Christ is risen!

Christ is risen indeed!

This is the day that the Lord has made!

Let us rejoice and be glad in it.  Alleluia!

Let us worship our God.

Alleluia!  Amen!

THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Almighty God, you have raised Jesus from death to life, and crowned Lord of all.  We confess that we have not bowed before him, or acknowledged his rule over our lives.  We  have gone along with the ways of the world, and failed to give him glory.  Forgive us, and raise us from sin, that we may be your people, obeying the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ, who rules the world and is head of the church, his body. Amen.  [Followed by a moment of silent prayer.]

ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS

Our assurance is this:  “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus . . . For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do.”  God sent the Savior, who redeems us of all unworthiness.  Know that you are forgiven and be at peace.

In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.  Let us forgive one another.  Amen.

then to Peter, and to the twelve, and then to many faithful witnesses.  We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.  Jesus Christ is the first and the last, the beginning and the end; he is our Lord and our God.  Amen.
